Councillors proudly reveal Cranbrook Town Council’s vibrant new corporate identity?
Cranbrook town councillors are delighted with the new visual identity created for them by East Devon District Council’s design team, which was unveiled at an informal town council meeting last night (20 July) at the Younghayes Centre in Cranbrook.?
The brand new logo is synonymous with Cranbrook Town Council’s (TC) identity as a public serving body and is designed to reflect the fresh and modern approach that the TC is taking in helping Cranbrook’s growing community.
Cranbrook residents can expect to see the new branding used on the town council’s website, letterheads, signage and any official documents.?
Unlike the majority of town council logos, which are heraldic in design to reflect their historic origins and traditional culture, the concept for Cranbrook’s contemporary logo is based on the TC’s commitment to be a forward thinking, accessible, cost-effective and sustainable organisation.?
Kevin Blakey, Chairman of the Cranbrook Town Council said: "Our new identity is designed to help put Cranbrook’s new town council firmly on the map and will mark us out. It is a logo that we can feel proud of as a town, not just for today but for the future as well. ?
"On behalf of all the town councillors, I would like to thank East Devon District Council for helping us to create this superb logo and branding for us. It is synonymous with everything that we are hoping to achieve as the bridge for the community’s voice."? ?
Mark Williams, Chief Executive of East Devon District Council said: "The sunburst design of the new town council logo captures the growth and energy of Cranbrook perfectly.
"The town council has a critical role to play in the town’s future, ensuring that its sustainable vision is maintained and acting as an anchor link between the community, the developers and local authorities. So it was important that the new town council had its identity formally established at an early stage."???
