Shops at Cranbrook took a step forward today (21 October 2014) as work started on the building's footings at the construction site opposite the Younghayes Centre and St Martin’s Primary School.
There will be 7 shops in total and strong demand for the units saw 5 of them filled even before work on site started.
The neighbourhood centre at Cranbrook provides 10,436 sq ft (970 sq m) of commercial space over 7 shops.
At the time of going to press, terms are agreed on all but 2 units, both are circa 750 sq ft (70 sq m). For contact information regarding leases etc click here.
The line up for the new commercial centre includes a small supermarket, an estate agent, a pharmacist, a fish and chip shop and a charity shop.
Construction work on the shops, which will have apartments above, is due to continue until June next year.
