Lidl Recruitment Fair at Cranbrook

On Saturday 12 August 2017 Lidl are holding a recruitment fair at Cranbrook’s Younghayes Centre where people can find out about the jobs at their new Regional Distribution Centre, which is set to open in the autumn.  

There are two sessions, 11.00 and 13.45, both starting with free tea, coffee and cake. Followed by a presentation from Lidl staff and the chance to ask questions about the various roles.  

There are a number of agencies also supporting the event to help attendees in their decision making. These include the National Careers Service, Homemaker (financial advice), East Devon District Council’s Revenue and Benefits Team, Action East Devon and a travel advisor from Devon County Council.  

There will be advice and guidance on the application process, money matters including in-work benefits and travel options.  

As applications are made online, Action East Devon have arranged for the Younghayes computer suite to be open and assistance available from the computer suite volunteers.  

Cllr Phil Twiss, deputy Leader of East Devon District Council, said: ‘This event offers a range of employment opportunities for people living in our district and the fact that Lidl’s offers a real living wage is very much welcomed.’  

Lidl Regional Distribution Centre is just a short distance from Cranbrook and the village of Clyst Honiton and well served by public transport including new walking and cycling routes, plus an enhanced bus service to meet the 6am shift pattern at Lidl.
