Monkerton Hill Barton and Newcourt Masterplans

Exeter City Council has prepared the above documents for consultation from March 1st 2010. The documents are designed to provide a framework to guide the future development of sustainable urban extensions to the north east of the city at Monkerton and to the south east of the city at Newcourt. The guidance in the SPD is intended to shape the quality of development that will come forward and enable the comprehensive development of these areas through the planning process.

The SPD forms part of Local Development Framework for Exeter, which is to replace the Exeter Local Plan First Review, and will inform the Council's decision on planning applications.

We welcome your views on the documents. Copies of the Monkerton/Hill Barton and Newcourt Masterplan SPDs, together with their supporting documents, are available for public inspection at the Customer Service Centre, Civic Centre, Paris Street, Exeter from 8.30am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday. Both copies are also placed in Exeter Central Library (reference section) and the Monkerton Masterplan in Pinhoe Library and the Newcourt Masterplan in Topsham Library.

They can also be viewed and downloaded from the Council's website or follow the  direct link from the Monkerton / Newcourt pages of this website.
